James Bond 007 Nightfire is a first person shooter based around the James Bond universe. It has had a lot of coverage before its release and it was almost definately gonna become a top seller.

After having played through about half of it I can tell you it is not everything EA games cracked it up to be. Though it is by far not the worst game out there it is far from becoming any kind of top seller. The reason for this is that there is nothing good about it. It does not make leaps of any kind towards any direction nor does it offer you any kind of illusion that you actually are Bond.

The graphics are marginal. They are not bad and not good either. Besides the water effects everything is average and it could be mistaken for an old title. There is no blood, which is a shame.

The gameplay is fun in places, especially where you get to shoot heaps of bad guys but unfortunately the AI leaves something to be desired. Bad guys will usually not see you wnen you are right in front of them and sometimes shooting a bad guy doesn't produce any kind of emotional result on the other bad guys.

Overall James Bond deserves 3/5. Mainly because I like Bond and First Person Shooters, the combination was perfect but the game failed in the execution.
