There are two things that I absolutely hate about movies:
   1) A gag or joke that you just know is supposed to be funny but isn't
   2) A story line that makes you turn to whoever you're watching the movie with and say something like 'come on man, there is no way it would be like that'.

These are the two points that are ever present in 'The Tuxedo', which features the man, Jackie Chan. One of my favourite actors/martial arts dudes so of course this movie can't get a low rating from me. But one thing that bothers me is why Jackie Chan would pick this over say, I don't know 'Rush Hour 3'.

The story line starts out with Chan, your average taxi driver trying to seduce the lady of his dreams, which, of course, is what out of his league. Until one day he stumbles across a passenger who offers him a chance for something more, to work as a chauffeur for one of the richest men in New York, Clark Devlin. Chan jumps at the opportunity.

Of course one thing that Chan doesn't know is that Clar Devlin is the bearer of a 2 billion dollar tux that can make you do anything from Karate to tying shoe laces. After a nasty accident Clark Devlin gets put out of commission and it is up to Chan to repay the man who did this to him, including wearing the tux, true Kung Fo movie style.

Chan is up against Dietrich Banning, a diabolical water producer that plans to dominate the world (wait for it), by poisoning the world's water supplies. Thinking about how this is possible? Don't, the producers didn't so why should you?

Jennifer Love Hewitt stars as Del Blaine, a female operative who works along Chan and besides a few short stunts she mostly stands around and complains. There was no way that this movie could have added to Jennifer's sucess as an actress as it almost guarantees that every one hates her by the time they leave. Which is a pity cause I find her quite attractive.

The movie takes us through a couple of locations including a night club where Chan has to stand in for Joe Brown, evidently, the grand daddy of soul.

At the end there is a show down between Chan and the evil Dietrich Banning and that doesn't dissapoint. So if anything, you won't walk out of the movie, saying 'that was crap'. But instead you walk out saying 'man Jackie Chan has still got it but blah blah blah part of the movie just didn't make sense'. But that don't matter cause' Jackie Chan is in it and as long as Jackie Chan makes movies people will continue watching which is good for any one who employs him.
