If you have not at least heard of something about Pearl Harbor there is something wrong with you. It is by far one of the most talked about events in the history of WWII, so it would come to no suprise to anyone that yet another Pearl Harbor game is coming to the PC. Except that this game by no means does Pearl Harbor any justice.

The graphics while not bad, are far from good. Everything is blocky and it sends me thinking back to games in 1995. Though it has a 3d engine it is quite ugly. The good thing is that it is never so ugly that you have to cringe.

Where this game really fails is the gameplay. It never fully emerges you into the war. You are always too isolated as a fighter pilot and most of the time you feel like you are fighting the war by yourself. Though there are missions where allies do help you out you never feel like you are part of the team.

The controls are even more stupid. One golden rule of thumb for future developers making top down plane combat sims:

do not include altitude from a top down angle.

Yes, even though this game is top down, you can still fly down or up and while this may seem like a good thing in theory, in practice it is very stupid as you never know if you are at the same altitude as the plane you are attacking.

Overall this game is not worth you time. If I was you invest some money into something worthwhile like Microsoft's Combat Flight Simulator 1 and 2. Layku boys.
